Step 2 - Plan Your Page

Get at least one classmate to proofread your problem. Ask the student to write their name and initial the top of your problem solving sheet.

Turn it in when you finish your wiki page.

Step 3 - Find Your Page

Click on the folder for your class period in the sidebar on the right side of the page.

Click on your name to jump to your page.

Step 4 - Edit Your Problem Solving Page

Click the EDIT tab. It is on the top left side of the page. (Look between "Math Mavericks and "Getting Started")

Don't change the name of the page.

Look at the example of a finished page again if necessary.

Edit your page so that it contains the information from your problem solving sheet.

Tag your page with words that help people find it using a search. One tag should be the vocabulary word you choose to define.
How to insert an equation, math symbols, fractions, etc.:
- Go into edit mode on your wiki by clicking the "Edit" tab.
- Click the "Insert Plugin" button
- Choose "PBwiki Magic"
- And then choose "Equation"
- Type in the code for the equation that you want to display (view a short list of symbols or a huge list).
- Click "Preview," then "OK," and now "Save" your wiki page.
- If you get frustrated during these steps, please ask for help. The coding can be difficult.
Step 5 - Create a New Page and Link it to a Vocabulary Word
Link your vocabulary word to a new page.

Highlight the vocabulary word by clicking on top of the word and dragging your mouse over it.

Click the Link button (blue circle in the toolbar, next to the undo arrow).

Enter the information in the box.

Link Type = PBwiki Page
-
Page: ---New Page---

Page Name: Type the word you highlighted

Step 6 - Edit Your Vocabulary Page

Click the EDIT tab. It is on the top left side of the page. (Look between "Math Mavericks and "Getting Started")

The name of the page is your vocabulary word.

Edit your page so that it contains the definition in your own words from your problem solving sheet.

Tag your page with words that help people find it using a search. One tag should be the vocabulary word you choose to define.
Step 7 - Turn In Your Problem Solving Page
When the teacher sees it in the inbox, (s)he will know it's time to grade your wiki page.
